A multimillion-dollar logistics and freight forwarding company had a problem handling the overload of paperwork and shipment tracking data. So they started a PC-based software project to solve the problem. It worked so well that other firms wanted to buy it.

That was the start of Integrate Trade Systems, split off as a separate company in 1988 to become a leader in export management software with more than 350 installations. The company was acquired in 1992 by a new management team with extensive logistics and systems development expertise.
